It’s not often Callisti gets a search-engine-marketing client who is already a “web design and search engine marketing” provider so it was a good way to gain insight into the current needs and search channel emphasis of new web design and SEO companies (Edinburgh-based as well!)
The email correspondence alone would probably have served as [...]
Now that the French Alps are busy with holiday-makers looking for some ski and snowboarding action, the online ski transfer quote feature has been added to Snowdrop Transfers booking page. The form uses some custom tables in the WordPress database and a bit of jQuery and PHP validation to generate a ski transfer price [...]
The Dryfesdale Hotel in Lockerbie, Scotland, is part of the Best Western Hotel system so a few individuality trade-offs have been made to meet the stipulations of the Best Western website guidelines.
This basically required a total facelift and css makeover with these (rough) steps:

…Nothing to do with the new apartments and cottage buildings added to the West Heath Place, now addressed at 1b Hodford Road, London, just off Finchley Road.

Simple Facebook pages were created recently for Sledges.co.uk and Lochanview.com with some information about the Aviemore-based outdoor shop in the Scottish highlands, and the Dumfries (Kippford) self-catering log cabin holiday venue respectively. This is a revamp of an existing website (based on codeigniter) using a custom wordpress theme. The Snowdrop Transfers site is a contact point for searchers looking for flight transfers from their airport to the alpine ski resort in the French Alps.
Still a lot [...]
The DGMA website has been an ongoing concern and was first made live with the help of already busy volunteers. Callisti was approached to help out slightly more formally so helped out by consolidating the initial information to get a simple CMS and website online.
It’s [...]
Facebook like buttons were happily added to Galloway Velvet‘s Actinic ecommerce website by editing the design fragment for the product image. The jssdk blob pasted after the body tag really slows down Actinic processing or rendering the page in the editor UI which is a patience exercise. Interesting to some.
Handmade Hammocks is still an Actinic ecommerce site so presents its own environment of challenges for maintenance work. Most recently the feature has been updated to dynamically show Actinic content pages in the navigation menu.
This means the client can update content more easily using the Actinic UI without having to edit template files [...]
